YMCA of Central Stark County Exceeds 2024 Annual Campaign Fundraising Goal

June 12, 2024

“This is a huge accomplishment for our YMCA, and we are fortunate to have great supporters who believe in the work we do each and every day” shares Rich Micelli, YMCA CEO.  He explains, “The Annual Campaign and its success allows our Y to serve people, regardless of their ability to pay, who are a part of Y programs and our facilities”.

Last year (2023) the YMCA provided financial assistance to over 5,400 people from all over Stark County, giving out over $1.3 Million in financial assistance to Stark County residents.  Assistance means that a parent can go to work knowing that the YMCA will be there after school to provide a healthy snack, assist with homework and fun activities for their children.  It means a senior can stay active by participating in group exercise classes, walking, or just socializing. Families will have a place to stay active and participate in activities together.  “Just walk into a YMCA and you can see the difference we are making in people’s lives day in and day out,” explains Michelle Aladich, Chief Development Officer. “Whether you have been a YMCA member your whole life or just joined us today, our staff and volunteers are working to ensure access is available.”
