As we gear up for an unforgettable summer, Safety Week has been all about ensuring our staff is fully prepared to provide a safe, supportive, and FUN environment for every camper!

At our camp, safety is not just a priority—it’s the foundation of everything we do. From extensive training to thoughtful preparation, we take every step to ensure our campers can thrive in a secure space. Here’s what we’ve been focusing on to make this summer the safest (and most exciting) one yet!

Praesidium Child Abuse Prevention Training

Keeping campers safe starts with empowering our staff. Through Praesidium Child Abuse Prevention Training, our team is equipped with the knowledge to:

  • Recognize signs of abuse or inappropriate behavior.
  • Prevent risky situations through proactive supervision.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to any concerns or incidents.

By ensuring our staff is confident and educated, we create a safe environment where campers can focus on having fun and making memories.

CPR & First Aid Certified

Emergencies can happen anywhere, and our team is ready. Our staff members receive CPR and First Aid Certification to respond to medical situations with:

  • Calmness under pressure.
  • Proper care for injuries, allergic reactions, or unexpected emergencies.
  • Clear communication with parents and emergency responders.

Our staff’s preparedness gives families peace of mind and ensures campers are in capable hands at all times.

20 Hours of Pre-Camp Training

Before campers ever arrive, our staff completes 20 hours of intensive training covering:

  • Camp safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Age-appropriate behavior management strategies.
  • Creative programming that balances fun with safety.

From field trip logistics to water safety, our team is well-prepared to handle any situation that arises during camp.

Social-Emotional Health Support

We believe emotional well-being is just as important as physical safety. Our staff is trained to:

  • Build positive relationships with campers.
  • Encourage kindness, inclusion, and respect.
  • Identify and support campers who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure.

Our goal is to ensure every camper feels seen, heard, and valued throughout their camp experience.

Comprehensive Background Checks

We carefully select our staff through an extensive hiring process, which includes:

  • Thorough background checks to ensure staff are trustworthy and responsible.
  • Reference checks to confirm candidates have strong character and a commitment to child safety.

We pride ourselves on assembling a team of role models who will inspire and care for your children.

Our Commitment to Camp Safety

We know that a safe camper is a happy camper, and we’re proud to invest in the training, tools, and resources needed to make this summer incredible. With our dedicated team of trained staff, we can’t wait to welcome campers to a season full of adventure, growth, and unforgettable memories.

If you have any questions about our safety practices or camper care, feel free to reach out. Here's to the best summer yet!
