2024 Nemesis Swim Team
Nemesis Swim Team is for ages 6+ that meet swim test ability requirements. Our competitive swim team competes in the NE Ohio Swim League dual meets and championship meets with a USA Swimming sanction. Our focus is on developing swimmer skills for all four competitive strokes.
New athletes must be swim tested before registering. Swim Testing Dates: Sept. 5 @ 5:15pm & Sept. 7 @ 7:30am.
Parent Orientation Meeting: Wednesday, September 18 from 5:30pm-6:30pm or Thursday, September 19 from 6:00pm-7:00pm. All NEW parents from summer 2024 team and new swimmers from testing must attend.
Swimmers must practice at the team practice times assigned by Coach Dede and must attend at least 2 practices a week and 3 YMCA dual meets.
Eligibility requirements:
-6 years old through high school
-Stage 5 ability for 8 years old and under
-Stage 6 ability for 9 years old and up
-Attend a minimum of 3 YMCA dual meets
Swim Team Information
Registration opens for 2024-25 swim team on August 5, 2024. Each child must be a YMCA Member to participate on Swim Team.
2024-25 season begins practice on Monday, September 9, 2024.
If your child is new to Swim Team, swim testing is required to ensure your child is placed at a level that fits their current skills. Swim testing dates: Thursday, September 5 at 5:15pm or Saturday, September 7 at 7:30am.
Yes! The Nemesis Swim Team is part of the NE Ohio Swim League. Meets take place beginning in October on Saturdays and run through the end of January. Swimmers must attend a minimum of 3 YMCA dual meets. Qualifiers will swim in a Championship meet at the end of the season and Zone qualifiers will continue their season into the spring.
